about us
August Oak Tree is an alternative acoustic rock band consisting of
two acoustic guitars (as well as semi-acoustic), three vocals, bass guitar
and percussion. Their inspirations include a variety of artists such as
Matthew Mole, Mumford and Sons, Kings of Leon, Cat Stevens, etc.
They released their first debut album "Rough Burn" in 2015 which aims
to express the opinions broiling in their often misunderstood generation

in the constant battle against a diminishing morale.
“Mary-Jane” has reached 10 000 listens on soundcloud and various
tracks on the album are played on radio stations such as Puk FM.
They also enjoy doing covers by international and local bands such as
Sixto Rodriguez, Kaleo, Sons of Settlers, Rubber Duc, Jeremy Loops
etc.
The band is comprised out of
Arnold Groenewald (Lead vocals, guitar, percussion)
Stefan Vivier (Vocals, guitar, percussion, harmonica)
